Not any more. A search returns an answer, not a list. An assistant names two or three businesses and there is nothing underneath. The shortlist is built before the customer sees anything, and nobody tells you when you were left off it.
Most of the industry is still selling the old deliverable: rankings reports, traffic charts, impressions. All of it describing a version of search that is being replaced while the reports still look fine.
